War in China's Valve Industry May Upgrade

As a giant industry group, valve industry plays a key role in national economic construction. Currently, low-end valve products have realized nationalization. High-end valve products are taking place of imported products gradually, pushing China's valve industry into to international competition.

With acceleration of industrialization and urbanization, demands for valve products are increasing for high economic development. Only valve manufacturers who have competiveness can survive in competition.

For several years' developing, China has the most valve manufacturers in the world, 6,000 valve manufacturers including 900 manufacturers whose total output reaches to more than 5 million RMB. More than 1 million people are engaged in business activities of valve.

China's valve industry can provide several categories, including gate valve, globe valve, ball valve, butterfly valve, safety valve, check valve, throttle valve, plug valve, etc. The highest working temperature is 570℃. The lowest temperature is -196℃. The highest nominal pressure is 600MPa. The largest nominal diameter reaches to 5350mm.

With the promotion of industrialization, urbanization, reformation and globalization, China's valve industry has bright future.

In the next 10 years, thermal power, nuclear, petroleum, and gas pipelines will need large numbers of valve products, promoting valve market to highly develop. With the construction of West-East natural gas transmission project, the construction of gas pipelines will look forward to a period of fast growth. China-Central Asia natural gas pipeline project continues advancing. More than 20 thousands kilometers oil pipes need to be built including Russia and Kazakhstan transnational oil pipelines.

The competition between manufacturers becomes more and more sharp. Otherwise, high-end valve market is still monopolized by foreign manufacturers. Domestic manufacturers should enhance advantages of nationalization to compete with foreign manufacturers.
